Ivorian Striker Ahmed Toure Pushes For Ghana Switch
Asante Kotoko’s Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure claims he is interested in switching allegiance to play for Ghana if the opportunity presents itself.
The 23-year-old has been sensational since he re-joined the club during the second-transfer window and he underlined his form during Kotoko 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in a Premier League match on 26 March.
The ex- Africa Sports player is yet to earn a call-up from the Ivory Coast FA but says he would not baulk to play for African best ranked country. “I want to play for Ghana. I love Ghana. Ghana is my second home. I will like to play for the Black Stars if I get the chance,” Toure told the club’s official newspaper, Asante Kotoko Express
“I am a footballer. I believe I can perform for any team when I am given the chance. If Ghana gives me the chance, I will perform. I am sure about that.”
